This was our third trip to Scotland in 12 months, all expertly planned for us by Katie. The main driver of this visit was to help our son move into his flat in Fountainbridge as he just started his post-graduate studies at University of Edinburgh. We again stayed at 100 Princes Street. It truly is our home away from home in Scotland. My earlier reviews give the glowing details about this property and this visit was no exception. Katie arranged a guided tour of the National Portrait Gallery with our favorite Scottish guide, Jill. She is so knowledgeable about so much. Time with her always seem to fly by.

After helping our son settle in we were picked up by our driver and guide, Andie, for five days of exploring the Highlands. The Highlands are spectacular and Andie was delightful. We visited lochs, castles, pubs, villages of historical significance, and local artisan shops and galleries. Andie recommended we visit a chocolate shop in Perthshire that won the Best Chocolate Truffle in the World! We never expected to find award-winning chocolate in the Scottish Highlands but it really was amazing. We also did a great whisky tasting experience at the Oban Distillery.

At Katie’s urging we spent the last two nights of our trip at Gleneagles. Since we aren’t golfers we wondered what we would do at this world-famous property known for its three golf courses. Katie did not steer us wrong! The service is second to none. One morning we did falconry, which I highly recommend! There’s a wonderful spa as well as several restaurants, bars, and shops all on the property. The grounds are beautiful for strolling as well.

We’re very happy that we’ll be taking more trips to Scotland over the next year to visit our son in Edinburgh.

We just returned from a wonderful trip to Scotland (8/18/2025 – 9/4/2025). We saw the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo, Stirling Castle, Loch Ness, the East and West Coasts in the Highlands. We hiked, kayaked, took in historic castles and cathedrals, enjoyed whisky tasting and delicious meals. We stayed in Edinburgh, Glasgow, Glencoe, Dornoch, Torridon and Gleneagles and our hotels were consistently gracious and well-located. The private boat ride up Loch Ness, sea kayaking from the Torrid, and a round on the links at Royal Dornoch were definitely highlights of our trip. Thanks to Jonathan and his colleague Katie, everything went smoothly and seamlessly for us. We will continue to book our trips through Wendy Perrin’s network!

August 1-22nd we toured the UK. We coordinated our trip with Katie, the UK expert recommended by Wendy Perrin. The planners did a great job in organizing the trip. After consulting with us as to our desires and expectations, they put together a travel plan that worked very well. They organized all the guides and transportation needs. The guides were excellent. They were flexible when needed, and often would make suggestions or plan changes to enhance the trip. The guides were not only very knowledgeable but knew the best routes and tricks to gain access and bypass lines. Thank you—what a great team!

Another great trip by our travel organizers! Katie led the planning on this one. We made a relatively last-minute request for Katie to help with our trip to England and Scotland. We really enjoyed Gleneagles Townhouse, which Katie recommended, and the Goring, which has become probably our favorite hotel in the world (stay #3 for us).

We have used Katie’s company for several trips now and reached out to assist with this one as well. This trip was more custom and à la carte, as we stayed with friends for a good part and knew where we wanted to stay for part of the trip. However, they greatly helped in Scotland, which was new for us, and in planning the travel logistics, which were a pain on this trip. We appreciated the flexibility and guidance and know we can count on them every time!

Ty and Katie planned a spectacular Irish family adventure for us. We spent nine days in July 2025 exploring Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland with our three children, ages 10, 7, and 4. Ty and his team listened intently to our family’s preferences (active, engaged excursions, and a preference to drive ourselves) and compiled an itinerary that included horseback riding, learning to herd sheep, making traditional Irish soda bread, sleeping in castles, and learning about the history of Northern Ireland. The personal connections they have were evident with the quality and uniqueness of experiences they scheduled for us. They also managed to find availability during peak season with relatively short notice. We hope to travel with them again soon!

We went to Scotland for a few days before attending a wedding in Edinburgh. The country was lush and beautiful, albeit cold, windy and often rainy. Cameron House was a very nice hotel in a beautiful setting. It was convenient to have a driver. From talking with others that attended the same wedding and who also toured Scotland, we were able to get a real sense of the country by going to Stirling, Loch Lamond, and Pitlochry without having to drive many, many hours to other known destinations.
