We worked with Juan for a two-week trip, including Barcelona, the Pyrenees, Madrid, and Lisbon. He and his team did an excellent job of matching our family with guides who were exceptionally knowledgeable and willing to answer the many history and culture questions we threw their way. We had two young guides, in particular, who were a perfect match for our 18- and 21-year-old travelers. The trip was also balanced in providing us downtime to explore on our own.

Highlights included a hike off the beaten path in the Pyrenees that we never could have taken without a guide. We also had a wonderful meal cooked right in front of us in a little town outside of Madrid that we never would have found on our own. The guides also knew how to avoid the crowds in all locations and provided reliable recommendations after our tours. The travel advisors had to step into high gear to adjust our schedule when a strike in Lisbon caused our flight to be cancelled. They managed to move a tour and all of our connections so that we didn’t miss anything. We would have lost travel time if we had not had someone working in the background to assist.

Our trip to Spain was incredible! Without Wendy Perrin, we would not have known about some of these treasures we discovered along our journey. Every aspect—from time spent in each city to tours of the highlights and significant destinations—our time was well managed and we could not have planned this ourselves. We did e-biking in Barcelona, saw Gaudi’s architecture in many buildings, La Sagrada Familia (a must see!), and took a day trip to Montserrat (also a must!) and Penedès. Penedès with our guide David was so special. Visiting a winery, having an unforgettable experience with the locals, enjoying the scenic views and sharing great wines will always be one of our fondest memories.

In Sevilla, we enjoyed our tours and most of all our day with a chef, shopping at the local market and then cooking with her at her private kitchen. So fun! A day trip to Cordoba to visit the Mosque-Cathedral was awe-inspiring. From there we had a driver take us to Ronda where we saw so much storied history and breathtaking views.

After a wonderful lunch we continued on to Malaga—a beautiful beach town with day trip to see Mijas and Marbella. Our advice…don’t miss these smaller towns with so much tradition and history. You will not regret it!

We just returned from a fabulous trip that was partially orchestrated by your WOW List planner, Juan. We were on a trip aboard the astounding Sea Cloud Spirit (97 passengers) from April 27th-May 9th 2026, but I had requested planning assistance for a pre- and post- cruise trip. You connected me with Juan’s company because they are one of the few, if not only, agencies that specialize in both the Canary Islands and mainland Spain.

We were very pleased with the travel experiences they curated for us. We had three exceptional private tours in the Canaries, one on Gran Canaria and two on Tenerife. My husband was especially taken with Dario on Tenerife who took us to a friend’s authentic banana plantation and then to his family’s home and winery property. Dario and my husband prepared a traditional Canarian lunch in their family kitchen including eggs from their chickens, goat cheese from their small goat herd and a local favorite, “wrinkled potatoes.” Dario paired each course with selections from their boutique family run winery, including their rosé, which had just been awarded Best in Spain for 2026.

For a post trip, we were whisked from the port where our ship docked in Malaga on May 9th to Granada for a night of flamenco at the Cueva del Rocio, and the next day, a private tour of the Alhambra with our extremely well informed and personable guide Edu. To be honest, my husband is not a fan of flamenco, but I appreciated the cultural immersion that experience provided.

During the trip we primarily communicated with Lucia from the planning team. She was responsive and sent us daily reminders of our plans with each driver/guide contact information. I had also previously been in contact with Juan and Maria from that agency, who were equally professional. All three planners were very friendly, efficient, and had listened to our preferences. They were flexible when we made some changes to our itinerary. Every driver they had arranged for our various transfers was punctual, welcoming, and formally attired with clean luxury vehicles and cold water bottles.

We learned that the Canary Islands are not really on the American traveler’s radar. Each private guide stated that they only get about 20% of their clients from the US, 40% from the UK, and the remaining 40% from Europe. We found the three of the seven islands we toured, Gran Canaria, Tenerife and Lanzarote, charming and well worth visiting.

In all locations of our travel, including Morocco and Gibraltar, we were pleasantly surprised at how kind and friendly the locals were. They appear to genuinely like Americans and we felt welcome and appreciated.

Thank you so much for your assistance in making this trip a peak travel experience for us!

Yvette Fung and family at Basilica de la Sagrada Familia in Barcelona, Spain.

Traveler Yvette Fung and her family made efficient use of just three full days in Spain.

This was our family’s first trip to Spain and we only had 3 full days. Juan’s team made this such a wonderful trip, despite our short time in Barcelona. From the outset, they listened to what we were looking for and created a schedule that perfectly fit our needs and travel style. And even though the weather was not cooperating, our guide Marta made sure that we got to see the highlights and adjusted the itinerary when many of the places were closed due to hurricane winds!

The food tasting evening was divine and we stuffed ourselves with the best tasting tapas and Iberico ham!!! And the final day, our private cooking class with Richard was unforgettable—from going to the market and learning to make tapas in his beautifully decorated test kitchen to eating our creations. There was not one thing we would change!
